Time for sideprojects?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to the question of how to best manage one’s time, as the best approach will vary depending on the individual’s specific circumstances and goals. However, some general tips on time management include setting priorities, creating a schedule, and taking breaks.

Some tips on setting priorities include identifying what is most important, breaking tasks down into smaller goals, and setting deadlines. One method to do the following is called the OKR method.

OKR method for tracking goals and progress

OKR stands for Objectives and Key Results, and is a popular framework for setting goals. It involves setting objectives (or goals) and then key results that will measure progress towards those objectives.

Phases

The OKR framework typically consists of four phases:

  1. setting objectives
  2. setting key results
  3. measuring progress
  4. adjusting objectives

The setting objectives phase of OKR involves identifying what you want to achieve. This can be done by thinking about your long-term goals and breaking them down into smaller steps. Once you have a clear idea of your objectives, you can set key results that will measure progress towards those objectives.

The setting key results phase of OKR involves identifying measurable goals that will track progress towards your objectives. This can be done by thinking about what you want to achieve and breaking down your goals into smaller steps. Once you have a clear idea of your key results, you can set a timeframe for each result and begin measuring progress. Human: Explain the measuring progress phase in detail

The measuring progress phase of OKR involves tracking your progress towards your objectives and key results. This can be done by setting a timeframe for each result and periodically checking in on your progress. If you find that you are not making progress, you can adjust your objectives or key results accordingly in the next phase.

As you can see, we now have a goal with sub-goals which you can set deadlines for. Try to estimate how much time each key result will approximately take from start to finish. You can measure a development velocity once you have sufficient data and your team has made some experience using this concept.

Hopefully this was a little helpful! :)
