This course is aimed at Linux beginners.
But also for learning-by-doing administrators, who have the thought: “this should be easier”.
You will learn to avoid typical pitfalls.
How to use the shell more efficiently. And save time by making sensible settings.

• Where do I find what on a Linux system?
• Permission & user management
• Find and install useful tools
• Evaluate files and processes
• Access resources via networks
• SSH basics

We explain the meaning of the most important shell special characters, show how to use them sensibly and where dangers lurk.
Participants will also learn the basic, automatable operations for processing files and text data with the shell. This course does not yet focus on Linux system administration, although it does prepare for it and touches on topics such as processes and permissions.

This course is intended for Linux beginners, ambitious users as well as administrators and developers. But you should have experience with PCs, no matter if Windows, MacOS or Linux.
